Daniil Medvedev shared his emotions from his victory over Marcos Giron in the first round of the Australian Open - 6:0, 6:1, 6:2.
I`m very pleased with the match. Marcos is a difficult opponent, so it`s great to beat him by such a score in the first round of the Slam. I`m very happy with my level and looking forward to the next lap.
Now Medvedev will fight John Millman.
In five or six years on tour, I never met him. He plays great, especially on our site in Australia. He`s a great tennis player, he beat Roger [Federer] at the US Open when he was at the top, so he can play very well. I will also have to show my best.
