Florida`s Paul Maurice is the 6th coach with 800 NHL wins.


Today, the Panthers beat Tampa (7:1) in a regular season game.


The 56-year-old joins Scotty Bowman (1, 244 career regular-season victories), Joel Quenneville (969), Barry Trotz (914), Ken Hitchcock (849) and Lindy Ruff (New Jersey, 815, continuing career).


Maurice, who first became an NHL head coach in 1995 (at age 28), previously worked with Hartford/Carolina, Toronto and Winnipeg.


His experience in the league was not continuous - for some time he headed the Leafs farm club prediction by archive of soccer picks in the AHL, and spent the 2012/13 season in the KHL, where he led Metallurg Magnitogorsk.


Earlier this season, Maurice became the first coach in league history with 700 losses (now 702). The top three also includes Trotz (670) and Ruff (643).
