The idea of Brooklyn`s leadership in appointing Ime Udoki as the new head coach has met with resistance from the NBA, writes Yahoo Sports columnist Jake Fisher.


According to Fischer, league commissioner Adam Silver`s office was blocking a potential transfer from Boston. It is also noted that negotiations with Udoka caused outrage among Nets employees due to the recent scandal involving the coach.


Udoka was suspended by the Celtics head coach for the entire 2022-23 season for having an intimate relationship with a club employee.


According to numerous rumors, the Nets planned to invite a specialist after the dismissal of Steve Nash, but ultimately abandoned this idea. On Wednesday, the club by soccer blog announced the appointment of Jacques Vaughn, who assisted Nash, as head coach.
